Clue 1: This Columbus Native Won a Tony Award

Guests on this tour will begin with a visit to the Thurber House Museum and Thurber Center. James Thurber, one of the foremost humorists of the 20th Century published more than 30 books in his lifetime. His inimitable wit and pithy prose spanned a breadth of genres, including short stories, modern commentary, fiction, children's fantasy and letters. Then, the tour will move to German Village where attendees will set out on a scavenger hunt while exploring and learning about the wonderful history and architecture of Columbus' historic neighborhood. Lunch will be provided for this tour.
An additional registration fee of $60 is required in advance of the event.
Buckeyes and Books
Thursday, November 5 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Experience candy-making from start to finish at the Anthony Thomas Chocolates Factory. Best known for its buckeyes, a staple in every Ohioans diet, the factory produces more than 30,000 pounds of chocolate per shift. After stopping by the gift shop, the group will head to the State Library of Ohio and the Ohioana Library to view the extensive library of historical non-fiction. A food truck will visit this location.
